About RemDeadlock.com
A single-hero resource for Rem in Deadlock, kept narrow on purpose so each page can be specific, sourced and up to date.
Why this site exists
General hero guides tend to cover dozens of heroes and fall behind on patches. RemDeadlock.com covers one hero. That leaves room to explain how Rem's abilities interact with items, map objects and each other, to show which numbers have been checked, and to keep a patch log that says what changed for Rem specifically.
Independence
RemDeadlock.com is an independent fan resource. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation and has no affiliation with Valve. Deadlock, Rem and related names are trademarks of Valve Corporation, used here only to identify the game and comment on it. We don't use Valve's artwork or ability icons. The visuals on this site are original, simplified illustrations.
There is no advertising, sponsorship or affiliate linking on the site.
Editorial and data methodology
Sources, in order of trust
- Official Valve sources: in-game tooltips, the Deadlock changelog forum and Steam news.
- Officially accessible game data. Valve does not publish a documented public API for Deadlock as of our last review, so we don't claim to use one.
- Community documentation, chiefly The Deadlock Wiki, for mechanics and interactions.
- Public analytics sites, for observational context only. We currently publish no statistics from them.
- Community discussion, as anecdote, never as proof.
How claims are labelled
- Verified Checked against a listed source, with the date we checked it.
- Unconfirmed A value we found but couldn't confirm, or one that a recent patch may have changed. Shown with an explanation. If we have no value at all, we say "Awaiting verification" rather than estimating.
- Editorial analysis Our analysis and advice: how to use an ability, what to buy, when to change plan. It's reasoning from verified mechanics, not a measured result.
What we won't publish
- Win rates, pick rates or tier placements without a named source, date range and sample.
- Invented numbers to fill a table.
- Claims of personal match experience that the author doesn't have.
- Text, tables or images copied or lightly rewritten from other guide sites.
Where the data lives
Ability values, item details and patch entries are kept in structured data files, each value with its own source and verification flag, rather than typed into the pages. When a patch changes a number, it changes in one place and every page that uses it updates.
Patch reviews and the "last reviewed" date
After a Deadlock update, we read the official notes, update the data and pages, and log the change on the updates page. The "last reviewed" date shown on every page is changed by hand, and only after that review. It doesn't change when the site is simply rebuilt or redeployed. The current review date is .
Corrections
If something is wrong, tell us. We re-check the claim against the sources above, fix it if needed, and note significant corrections in the patch log.
